Schools use our Grants for School Science to purchase equipment so that students can enjoy practical science, to run science enrichment projects in schools, or to enable students to participate in science events and competitions. Our industrial partner TWI The Welding Institute has devised a Welding With Chocolate activity to support Science, Design & Technology learning at KS1-4. The grants are given in standard amounts - £600 for primary schools, £1,000 for secondary schools.
"One of our Upper Sixth Formers took part in the project last year. She said it was a real highlight of her time at school and one of the reasons she is now off to study Materials at Oxford. What a result!"
